RIAA release more Kazaa user names

Its my understanding that Canadian laws are set up so they couldn't get subpoenas like this here? Anyone know?

It's true, you'd have to sue everyone with an internet connection cause everyone who has one has downloaded something illegally (well at least the majoirty). It'd suck to read that and find your user ID on it eh?

the worst part is i heard that people who used kazaa where having there connection monitored and if it could be proven they downloaded stuff they had law suits coming there way.... i think its a joke to be honest

It's true .. as of now most countries out side of the US are safe ... (I use that term loosely) but from lawsuits... However the joke of all the lawsuits is this... anyone using a peer to peer program... and at this point it all points to kazza is being monitored... there are other programs that are being looked @ such as winmx.. however the RIAA is focusing on kazza... the funny thing is programs that are 100 times the size of kazza i.e. mIRC are rarely even mensioned in lawsuits and this is where the initial distribution comes from.... The gov't and cops and the RIAA will always be 5 steps behind of technology

using either kazza or kazza lite is the same with without the spyware that is embedded in the original kazza... even if u change ur name or not it takes down your computers address known as an ip address as well as your host... i.e. sympatico, rogers etc..

for those that aren't comfortable with using a program like mIRC that requires dos commands at times another fairly simple program to use is called direct connect...

It doesn't work the same way as kazza .. i.e. using their networks to start transfers so it is harder for someone downloading to be tracked... as well many of the servers that are on direct connect are not US based... mostly based out in Europe and last time I checked one or two in Canada... the only downside is the restrictions on some of the servers... many of them require that you share a minimum of 10gb for example... check it out... you'll find a lot more then kazza without the worry if getting in sh*t

they dont have to bust everyone... just a few unlucky kids then get the media to make the kids look like cold killers then everyone else will get scared of using it
