Rogers out to get me for unpaid bills?
Anyway, this morning while I was sitting at home enjoying the nice and quite time to myself watching sports hightlight on TV, the home phone rings with a 905 number. Knowing fair well that it's some stupid telemarketers on the other end. At the exact same time as the home phone ringing, my cell was buzzing (on vib). More interested in who was calling on my cell, I picked it up and noticed the exact same number on call display. WTF?!? I then called back that number and it was some residence in Brampton. Somebody speaking in heavy Indian accent, I explained to him what had just occured. He was asking all his kids (all 5 of them) if they had just called my number. No one did.
So, is this the work of some fcuked up Rogers communication (both services are from them) problem or what?

I'm with rogers and I'm having problems with my phone as well. Although I don't owe them money, the bills are always paid on time. Sometimes I pick up my phone and the line will be dead. And people have told me that they've been calling and it goes straight to the answering machine because of this.. nobody is on the phone or has even used it at all.. so I'm thinking of switching to bell..

I agree. I don't see Rogers going through all that trouble just to call you if you haven't paid your bills.
My problem with Rogers lately has been that the cell phone won't work. I dial a number, it looks like it's calling, but then it comes back saying that the call could not be completed. At first I thought it was my phone, so I tried another phone with my SIM card and I get the same result. My wife has the same problems.
Not sure what is going on, but not having a home phone and relying on the Rogers cell phones has become pretty annoying. Of course, Rogers is saying that there is no problem. I called them and already confirmed that.

Lol. The unpaid bills part was a little dragged out. What I meant to say was that we had issues with them regarding what they were charging us that's all. We paid our bills on time. An example was that they charge us monthly for a "system access fee" for a landline. We had Bell for 2 years before we switched and they never have that fee. Although we had bad services with Bell in the past (who doesn't with any phone company), we switched b/c once we got our line mixed up with another in our old apt building for a few weeks before they figured out it was the lines rubbing together. Took them another week to solve the problem. Meanwhile, we had no landline and no internet. To add insult, they never re-emburse us for those lost weeks.
Getting back to subject. The call was not a prank. The only people that know my cell and my home number are family, friends, and of course Rogers. And what are the chances both rings simultaneously and the same number shows up on the call display?
