what i don't get is that if people don't like our (people born in north america) way of life/religious beliefs/political view/whatever why the hell do you move to our country?
You sure as hell wouldn't catch me moving to the middle east (or whatever you wanna call it), but if i did, i would make damn sure not to learn the language so that when people have to help me (customer service) i won't be able to understand WTF they're saying, then i'll go get a job where i have to help other people and make their lives miserable.
But ya, i don't get how people can kill other people in the name of religion....that to me doesn't make sense (be it catholic, muslim, or whatever).

i completely agree that if ppl dont like out way of life here they should get the hell out. canada as a country tried too damn hard to cater to all people which is great and all, but it seems like lots of people have to give up a lot of things just to cater to minorities.
i also agree that theres no way in hell i'd move to a country where i wouldnt be able to blend in with their way of life.
pretty much they way it should be is: if you dont like it here, get the hell out.
muslims arent the only ones that kill in the name of religion, they just take the biggest hit for it because when the terrorists from the middle east do it, they do it big and they have a war against america therefore it gets a crapload of media attention etc etc...
those terrorists also have a lot of funding, resources, etc so it makes it just that much easier for them

I personally think if you dont want to learn english, get the **** out! You cant get a job and not speak at least one of our languages. Immigrants who just came here fine, but those who refuse to learn our langauge and ways are the ones I have problems with.

^ me too. i have a huge problem with people who dont want to learn the language and dont want to follow common practice here.
its pretty much unfair for everyone else because we all have to get use to that kind of stuff and cater to them, and they aren't trying to cater to us.

what about groups that come here and want their own courts? or to change laws and customs? it's not only about language.
a friend of mine talks about bulgaria a lot... his parents as well.. how it's so much better, everyone is nicer...

that said, you should re-read your statement and maybe follow your own advice
the way of life in Canada is a multi-cultural one, where we are charged with respecting everyones religion and culture, as long as it does not infringe on the freedom of any other person. So if your religion states it's ok to go out there and bash everyone else's views and beliefs then you should move to another Country if you want to explore that path of your faith.
and to be a bit more on the conspiracy side of things, the reason Muslims get such a big part of the media, and get made out to be really bad people, is because if they were made out to be regular people, everyone would be pissed about killing a few hundred of them a day in the name of oil

i would think muslims get a lot of negative media is because groups who identify themselves as muslims go around killing civilians.
the media being run by jews doesn't help either.

My opinion
Religions should be like a self help book.
impose it on your self not on others.
Thats all its meant to be, a system of control to keep ppl in check/ and usefull towards society.
If you can do without it, thats fine. but i would say most ppl arent that bright.

Canada has laws, killing people, babies included is forbidden by those laws, if they want to kill babies, maybe you and them should move together to some country that allows you to kill babies and bash everyones religions :P
