I did read teh article, the S2000 was a 2 door, 2 seater roadster (convertible), this one is a luxery 4 door (from the picture), 4 seater, hardtop, I don't see how its a replacement...sure it costs the same (or similiar), but I wouldn't call it a replacment, looks more like a G35 competitor or possibly RX8 (maybe)

That red sketch is ugly, looks like a Chrysler crossfire.

S2000 was an amazing car, 120hp/L Naturally Aspirated and a 9000RPM redline from the factory.
