In a press conference at police headquarters Monday morning, Staff Inspector Brian Raybould of the Homicide Squad addressed a room full of media and said that thanks to members of the public that came forward with information, police were able to zero in on two suspects connected with this murder case.

"Fortunately, a number of people have come forward. They have shown courage and as a result we were able to execute a number of search warrants Sunday morning and two young offenders are now charged with first degree murder in relation to this case. Obviously, I cannot give you details as to who they are or circumstances in the case because they are young offenders," he said.

He went on to confirm that cops haven't established a motive yet and that although several weapons were recovered during the investigation he wasn't at liberty to say whether they're murder weapons or not. He also confirmed reports that both teens that were arrested were known to Manners.

The accused will make their first court appearance on Monday morning - the same day that classes resume for the first time at the high school where the murder took place.

Manners' body was discovered near the indoor pool section of the campus on Wednesday. His murder resulted in students being locked down in their classrooms for four hours, while armed cops and the K-9 unit scoured the school for a suspect. His mother claims she still hasn't received the answers she needs from the Toronto District School Board and is demanding an inquest into the case. But the family hasn't said anything yet about the arrests, pleading for privacy while they process this latest strange twist in the tragedy

best part for me was at the end of the night ... principal comes up to me and is like this has to be the last song of the night (a dancehall reggae song was playing) im like ok well i cant make this the last one cause its too fast .. ill play 1 more slow song .. he was all like ughhh hmmm ish ... i go dont worry 5 mins ....

so i fade out the song ... and i make a lil speech along the lines of .. "if you wanna hear one more song for the night make some noise" *place goes nuts*

this kid comes up and goes you gotta give a R.I.P to Jordan im like arite ya thats not a problem ...

so i cue up T.O.K - Footsteps (all who know the song know its a good pick)

and i go "B4 i play this song i need everyone who knew, met, or just straight care for Jordan to let him hear you right now"

*place goes nuts for like 3 mins straight*

then i go nah nah nah ... jordan needs you guys to rip to roof off this place MAKE SOME NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOISE

then i ran the tune ... felt wicked ...


on a side note .. apparently Starting From Scratch was supposed to be doin this formal but might have backed out after hearing about the shooting or just initially was asking for too much ... but regardless as i DJ i had to think that night ...

why woudlnt scratch give up a hundred or 2 for this wicked oppritunity .. i mean dude makes 800+ per event .. whats the big deal to do 1-2 events and give back to T.O. once in a while ...
