....
Tanning beds are ok maybe once a week or so, but not every day dude. You don't want to be like gold member and peeling your skin, lol
Stay away from those tanning in a bottle crap, your skin turs yellow after a while......

an ex of mine used to use that **** all the time. an inferiority complex I guess
I dunno what brand she used but the spray-on stuff got the nice even, natural look.. the cream created freaky streaks

The new brands of self-tanners are virtually streak-proof, and some even come with built-in SPF. Self-tanners do not injure the skin and you'll be able to pick out the exact shade of tan you want.
TOP TEN TANNERS:
1. Coppertone Endless Summer Sunless Tanning Lotion
2. Lancôme Flash Bronzer Self-Tanning Body Spray
3. Neutrogena Sunless Tanning Spray
4. Bain de Soleil Streakguarde Self Tanning Creme
5. Au Courant Sunless Tanning Spray
6. No-Ad Sunless Tanning Lotion
7. Coppertone Sunless Tanner Lotion
8. BeneFit Aruba in a Tuba
9. Banana Boat Sunless Tanning Crème with Color Indicator
10. Neutrogena Sunless Tanning Foam
As for tanning beds vs self tanners - stick with the self tanners b/c:
Tanning beds are far from being skin-friendly. In fact, most health experts agree that the use of tanning beds increases a person's risk of skin cancer. When a person uses a tanning bed, more layers of the skin are damaged than when a person gets a tan from just being out in the sun. Still, if you're willing to take the risk with your skin, tanning beds do offer some benefits. You'll be able to control what kind of ultraviolet light your skin receives, you won't get sunburned, and your progress will be monitored.

I don't understand why people would put themselves in a toaster every day just to "look" different. Man, that's SO vain!
A friend of mine (male, fairly muscular) said once that he was hitting the tanning salon after work and I just had to laugh. I mean, WHAT FOR?? Appreciate the skin you've got! I do!
(I'm so white the sun reflects off me)
