in cuba the marbolros are cheap.. like 3.50 cuc (cuban peseos) which has same values of american dollars in cuba.

The cigars id suggest to only get from hotel..so you know they are real.. they have large price range depending on what you get. also it is illegal to get them on the street and its a serious crime there if you do do it.. and even if you get away with it.. they are fake ones. If you are bringing back alot.. Get a recipt for your cigars from the store you get them at they may want to see it. If its just a little then its no worries. I think the value you can bring back is $750 or something if you stay more than 7 nights and you have to claim it all even if its under. They didnt even check my bag but if they do and you dont claim it.. it sucks because they charge you like 450$ and keep you there for a long time when your in the airport in canada. I brought back a cigar, some souvineers and packs of cigarettes.. and I was ok they didnt even look so no duty.

The cuban cigarettes are cheap like 1.50 cuc a pack..

btw where you going in cuba? dont go to Havana if you plan on touring there.. not very fun.. lol

if you want some free cigarettes let me no lol you can have em.. i dont smoke at all.. lol i gave alot away to my friends, but have some left over.. if you want, its free.. lol you can try some cuban cigarettes haha

the money there is called cuc (cuban pesos) and is worth the same as the american dollar. The cubans will usually try and give you canadian coins for your pesos... usually they try and rip you off but sometimes you can hustle the hustlers lol... This is because Canadian coins are not accepted in cuba to be converted..and they only accept bills but a lot of tips come in canadian coins to these people. Sometimes they will say ill give you 10 CAD for 7 or 8 CUC... but a lot of time you can bargin down to 6 or 5 cuc which is actually worth it if you have extra pesos on you so you have money left to spend.

If your staying a week.. Around 400 CAD is good.. just remember to keep an extra 25CUC as when your leaving you need to pay 25 pesos to leave the country as a departure tax. Also remember to convert all your Pesos (unless you want to keep for souvineer) back to canadian dollars except the 25 cuc you need to leave. Cuban Pesos are not have no money value outside of cuba so if you bring back pesos you are stuck with them as no bank or currency convertor will take it and exchange it. Get recipts if you bring back lots of cigars and claim it honestly lol. lastminuttetrips.com is good site to use. I can recommend a place called Barcelo Solymar. It cost me 804$ for everything included (all taxes except any tips and departure tax.) It was nice, service was great and hotel was nice. I stayed for a week, if you want ill post some pictures. Most important, make sure to have fun

and john (fug) you can have them.. haha ill leave them on your windshield.. lol jks.. but really yeah i dont want any money for them you can have. And any time at all is good to chill
