haha during july our bill came to $340!

depending on the amt ppl in the house, it will run ur bill higher the more ppl u have
besides, we like the A/C in the summer months...so that could contribute as well

either way, $100+ is the avg....so $110 is perfectly fine

Lukha...are you living on candles? lol

equal payments = you pay the same amount every month and then at the end of the year you either owe money or get money back

its good for those who like to budget and like to know exactly what their bill will be for the next month

i dont use anywhere near enough energy to care to do something like that

Several times a year, they estimate your usage. I've found that they always estimate high. The rest of the year, you can read your own meter and either call them or enter the reading online. You have a 4 day window to do so. If you call HydroOne, they will give you the exact dates throughout the year where they will do their estimate and the dates you can read it yourself.

i always make sure to provide my gas reading on the month that they dont come to read it for that reason. My bill when estimated is usually twice what it should be.

Can I call the company and ask them when they estimate my meter so that I can give them an accurate reading instead?

They adjust your next bill when they take the actual reading I believe.

thanks for the explanation.... we might be paying more than we should, but how will they know that what you tell them is the actual reading?
