if my woman looked through my phone to 'check' on me.. i would probably dump her.
not only is that a violation of privacy, but it also shows she is any of the following: chilidish, immature, stupid (she got caught), and/or is not trusting.

I have given her some passwords here and there to log in for me and do something, but I had one girlfriend who once asked me for my hotmail password... i laughed at her and she cried "why are you keeping secrets?"
i don't remember what happened after, but i made it a point to make sure she never got any passwords.
regardless, there is a thing called respect and someone checking your texts and/emails has none for you.

I never do, i would just dump the broad if i didn't trust her.
