So I quite my job today...

And it actually felt pretty good. I will really miss some of the guys I worked with, but I'm on to bigger and better things.

The General Manager came into the office and shook my hand and said something like "I'm happy for you". I guess so! This corporate monkey just saved himself 45g's in my salary. I wanted to punch him in the face.

Oh well, new job here I come.

I'm quitting one of two jobs this month to have more "me" time before I start teaching fulltime in September And for more car shows!

But, yah it's always good to move onto bigger and better things!

im in a bit of a different situation

my current office is expanding a lot (new building under construction) and a lot of new opportunity for advancement when it opens

i transferred to this office because it's in sauga and much better drive then waterloo everyday

but now my old manager in waterloo wants me to come back there as a team lead for his team (my old team) which would give me a pretty good raise and more power but then i'd have to deal with the headaches of driving to waterloo everyday again

argh

shlamme that's a pretty decent situation you're in lol.
is it possible for you to talk to your old boss and ask him if he can hook you up with that position in the mississauga location by any chance? just explain that the commute is too much. Or ask him for better hours to compensate for the commute

driving far to work is bad for the environment. you should ask for the company to get landscaping done at your place.

^^ lol I was reading the other day how al gore doesn't buy any of the carbon credits... one of his companies buys them FOR him... apparently it's one of the perks that he gets as being one of the owners...

his mansion also uses 20times the electricity of the average house in the US.. and the carbon left by one of his flights on his jet is enough to refuel the average car 174 times...

gooo gore
