So, what are your savings like

Seems like we have a bunch of smart ones here who are thinking about the future.

Just wondering how the financial situation goes, or if most of you are living well within budget and don't really have much saved but just enough to pay the bills etc?

Anyone saved alot for their age so far?

$0.00 in my bank account right now. But, I just paid the rest of the deposit for my house today. I've spent $12 g's give or take a few bucks in the past month. I won't be saving anything again until next year once the wife and I have bought all the stuff we need for the house.

I learned that cars arent everything....$ is spent well in other places.

Im 26 I drive a 91 crx now...I love it, its modded but cant justify a motor swap anymore even though I have the money for it.
This is my 3rd car and will probably be the last one I mod.
I look at my lil bro (21) and his friends all of them with swaps..they'll learn soon.

I spent about $15-20K this year (condo) and still managed to save about $10K, just have to learn to be strict with your money!

I'm 23 and have my RRSP's going so I think I'll be set by the time I'm 60 or whatever.

I don't know if I should say this on here cause I might get a lot of marriage proposals.. (lol) but I have 2 cars, NO debt at all, and I have stocks/bonds in 3 companies and mutual funds coming out of my *** since I was 12. I will have approximately 1.2 million dollars by the time I am 30.

Well i'm 19, and everyone old says start YOUNG START YOUNG!!!....but u know what i'm still enjoying life, g/f free and such. . almost over a year now i guess without a g/f.....and i've always had one since 16...on and off and such...and my money would go that way...now my money is soley mine and my schools. .HAHA

So u know what it's all about me right now....enjoy the life

of course i have money in reserve, in case **** hits the fan. . .and that's money i'll never touch, and i contribute to that collection every now and then. . .

but for the most part.....young, fresh, and always lookin for the time of my life. . .

I have about that much in debt. Please will you marry me??? I'll love you forever! They say oposites attract. You'll have loads of $$$.....and I'm fighting for every penny LOL.
Mind you...I work for the City of Toronto, and once out of debt, I'll be fine. Gotta love the benifits

oh ya...forgot to mention that i also have RRSP's since i was 18, i'm just 20 now, but i'll tell you this much i'm not working beyond the age of 55.....because after 55 it's worthless to work...like the government wants to increase the retirement age... HA!! what a load of sihit...what do i care for when i'm 60, you can't do basically half of the things you were able to do when you were 30 or 40 either way, i'm done working at 55 MAX!!
