so work bought me a blackberry curve...

to use, anything I should do to it, or download for it?

I'm new to this, I went from a Mike phone to this.

nop just open it up and use
usefull things i have is weather network/mini Opera browser.

EDIT: ahh true forgot to ask about data plan.

my data plan is kind of small as I will only be using it for email messages mostly, I will have to find out exactly which plan they have me on.

well since you will be using this phone just for work, not likely that you will use internet to browse tcc lol.
im not sure about the curve, but with my pearl the newest firmware allows me to open ms word/excel/power point files. very useful.

The gmail app is pretty useful since thats all I use for email right now, and all my accounts are collected into it already.

What else that is free is pretty cool.

Does the blackberry always use the telus connection when running apps like music streaming etc, or will it always revert to Wifi if I have a connection established?

I don't want it to be using up all my data plan because I would mainly be using those apps at home etc.
