Son of a ...
if it ain't one thing it's another...
So I go to visit a buddy in Miss. that is visiting from out of town. He's staying at a hotel. We watch the Leaf game - woohoo - and have some beers. Getting drunk... we head to "My Apartment" in Mississauga.
There is a line up so I go an talk to the bouncer. He tells me I can't get in cause of my running shoes... so I haggle with the cabby and buy his shoes of him for $40 (2 sizes too small - feet still killing me)...bouncer is so impressed I bought the shoes off a cabby he let's us in infornt of about 100 people in line.
Anyway - get sloshed on $2.50 beers.
Sleep in the hotel and wake up 7ish (be a good boy and head to work). Go to the car and turn it over and there is some nasty noices coming from down below...ug. Car still running I pop the hood. Next thing you know I lock myself out of the car and the thing is running. What a retard...must still be a lil tipsy.
Anyway - two hours later the g/f shows up with my other set of keys. Can still making 'funny' noices.
Drive to Altech to find out my Cat is busted...ARGH.
Man - I gotta go back to bed.

i'm impressed that you bought the shoes off the cabbie.... I would be too worried about foot germs

tell you what though.... I'm gonna be at Devils martini tonight (where else would I be on a friday) if you or anyone else( rich, duy, Jeff) shows up ... i'll buy you all a round

Yeah - DM is cool - another cheap place that seems to wreck me. Well I just had a nap and havea wee bit of a headache - still gotta try and get into work... not sure if it going to happen.

You know what Dan... I'm hearin a noise from under the hood (or underneath) my car too. Remember that noise we were lookin for last weekend?
Thought it was a busted motor mount or something?
Well coming back from Guelph on Wed night it was makin some weird noises... I'm gonna have to take my car in next week sometime... I don't understand.. we checked the mounts and they seemed ok...
Perhaps on Monday if I have time after picking up my rims and tires.

Well it only does it under hard acceleration or when I'm already rolling and I stomp on it.. Sometimes in between shifts too...
(shrugs) I KNOW I'm not hearing things.. I don't think LOL
I don't plan on driving the car over the weekend since I walk to work and back (not takin my car there LOL the kiddes I tresspass will mark it all up) but Monday I have to go to WD.

No, its not a knocking sound from the engine otherwise it would be doing it ALL the time...
It happens rarely... Its like if I am applying too much acceleration then something is moving and I get a slight bang..
Like if it were a motor mount or your suggestion of a downpipe and cat etc.
