Sony Handycam Help

arite imma make this fast ...

i have a miniDV sony cam ... it has DV and USB abilities .... i want to take the video off the cam and save it to my drive .. my PC detects the CAM but i dont have any software to watch the movie on my PC or do anything with it .....

uhh HELP !

meh .. finally figured it out .. didnt use movie maker .. i used "Capture" which is bundled with ROXIO EZ Media Creator 7.5 .. all i need now is that damn external HDD so i can rip the damn movie ... ****s HUUUUUUUGE !

if the cam records the vdo in mp4 format...cant the windows media player play it simply....

im not using firewire .. im streaming it to my PC using USB ..

so i gotta capture it using software .. i figured it out tho

when i say stream .. i mean it basiclly plays back on the PC in real time as it plays on the tape ...

man read b4 u start spuing **** ... heh

its MiniDV .. meaning Digital Video .. it doesnt mean that the MPG file sits on the cam ..its still a tape .. so the only way to get it off is to play it back and record it on ur PC ... now if i was to use the firewire cable and controll it with software .. it would bascially play back and everytime the footage stopped it would make a splice and so on and so on ....

old *** technology my *** ... its fairly new

nope ... cause if i use firewire i could press play .. and the software + minidv capabilities would have it all chopped up and ready by time i came back ... its not 1 continuious movie .. it gets cut up into scenes as the movie stops ...

lol it already is ... yo hear this ... in my room (normal size room with walkin closet) i have 4 power bars at least ... everything in my room is electric lol ... u walk into my room and u hear the electricity ... woooooooooom wooooooooooom wooooooooom
