well the guy i know with the registered real jdm honda type r has dual citizen ship in japan and here in canada.. due to him being a dual citizen, when he comes here for school and such he is allowed to pretty much bring his whole life over.. hence he brought his HTR here, once he has it registered he can do whatever the **** he wants, once sold and registered it doesnt matter anymore if its 15 yrs older or less and whoever buys it can claim it as a ITR, cool **** eh?

if its yellow and its RHD, than that is Alex.
he lives up in kitchiner, waterloo area i believe
and yes its an authentic JDM rhd R.
its a 96 spec r though, he did a 5 bolt conversion and tucked underneith are spoon calipers.
as kungfugrip has said,
this car was orginally brougth down from a family that had dual citizen and the was registered legally due to the dual citizen ****..and you're not suppose to be able to register a car that is under 15 years.. you can however import and use the car for only i believe 1 year as a "kit" car. and once the validity period has expired than you have to A. either strip it, or B. send its *** back, but it can never be registered..
and just because canada makes itr's doesn't necessiarly mean that we can import it in. reason being, jdm itr's front rebar is no bigger than the plumbing pipe that is used for your bathtub. if you've ever seen it, that thing is facken puny as ***!! and thats also why we don't have the EVO down here
cause canada has strict collision ratings. something about the rad support have to be able to withstand a 5km/h and hence why our rebar's are massive..
i could be wrong about the exact reason, but if memories serves me correct, that is the reason.
if you want, here's some background to the car..
the car was brought down by a kid who studied here in ontario (forgot what college/university) and when he finished studying, he ended up leaving his **** behind, everything, so lucky star purchased this car 96SpecR and it was orginally CW. and I guess Alex the next owner bought it and painted it PY.
but it is a real RHD ITR.

Ya I am.
As for importing, she will smoke my *** if I bring up the topic about cars again. But if I can dump a load of cash in her face, then I can't see that being an issue.
Now, one of my lottery tickets should cash in any minutes.
