SRT-4 what do you think?

the New Neon is awesome, i love the styling of it, its just insane...
BAH people always say its just a Neon..... but those cars are under estimated so much, that u do not even see the potential in those cars.... i used to own one.... 98 2 dr coupe! it was a sweet car to drive! and even though it had cheap interior, it was way better then any civic ive been in!
if your dad is thinking of a Neon, im going to agree with going with a different car! b/c that thing will not only smoke your Dad's mini, it eats GAS more worse then a Mustang GT!
good luck!

despite what everyone says, the car seems to be ok. But I will say it is just OK. Same platform as a neon with dodge badges. Sleeper? Only for those who are clueless to body cues. The SRT4 has a different front bumper and hood. Comes with rims and some could overlook the boost guage. You are comparing apples and oranges, a turbo car to a civic or anything else. They might be in the same class in terms of price and body design (coupe, sedan, etc) but the engine cannot be compared. Thats like compaing an F20C to a B18C1 they are nothing alike to some extent other than the obvious.
Dont get me wrong, for the price it is a good bang for your buck no one can deny that. But let me ask you something and answer honestly. Where do your priorities lie? Are you for lack of a better word one of the media proclaimed street racers, perhaps someone who wants a good looking car ie. custom, or are you a tuner?
I ask these questions based on my own personal experiences. I have been part of this club for a while now, many people here know me and the obvious new ones dont. Despite what you say now, everyone in life wants to step up and better themselves. Im sure all of you love your cars, but to say you will never get rid of them or anything like that is silly. Dont take it as something negative just that lets put it this way. Say you have a civic, a nice 93 hatchback, and you go the turbo route you build up the lower compression B18C1 maybe stroke it out and resleeve it to 2.0L. Or you build a nice high compression N/A. Regardless of what you do or what you say there will always be something better and faster out there. One can only go so far. For someone to justify spending upwards of 20 grand on an engine for a civic that has FWD wouldnt be too smart. Not saying its bad just not practical. Eventually something else would have been the better choice a more expensive RWD.
Take my words for what you will. I wont say I wouldnt buy the SRT4 hell I was going to buy it for a winter beater, instead I decided not to, right now I am in the midst of getting another car some know what it is others dont. Wait a while, maybe the next production year will yield more info on this vehicle regardless of standard testing on opinions from magazines. Make an informed decision and roll with it. The car comes up to I think 27 grand MRSP before taxes and PDI and insurance for the year, therefore it is indeed in the 30 grand range. For that price I would rather get a WRX or a 240sx perhaps even a sc400.
Thats my 2 cents.
Oh yeah Bruno, what do you got in store for the spring? New car...new mods? Wanna track with me?
