you think a Z24 is a fast car???
when i had my Neon, i'll say ate those things like nothing...
i remember my one buddy had a SOHC Neon,,, thats 132HP/128ftlbs and beat Z24 like nothing, this was done on a Jbody test and tune at Cayuga!
but my buddy had work done to a SOHC Neon.. ran 14.7 all day long! thats SINGLE CAM! not Dual CAM!

i use to have a ****box 95 neon with that power aswell.
it can eat my 05 civic in acceleration, refinement/noise/relaiblity/smell are another story though
they have much more torque right off the bat.

I don't know why people think z24's are such a good car. They have the same 2.2L 140hp engine as the base model Cavalier. The only difference between a z24 and any other base model Cavalier on the road is the suspension (different spring rate and has sway bars), it has power everything, and exterior stuff like rims and lips. A regular Cavalier has the same performance as a z24, IMO its nothing special.

seeing as this is coming from someone who ATE z24s with his neon all day, i call bs. stock itll run 16's...MAYBE break into the 15's depending on the year. its takes alot to get to mid 14's without using NAWZ and i dont think it happened. list mods and well see.

Where was this? In Hamilton yesterday afternoon I drove by seconds after an accident and there was a car upside down with a concrete telephone pole on top of it. I think it was at the corner of Hess and york. Looked pretty bad and the ambulance was just coming down the road with an entire fleet of other emergency vehicles.

my MOMS 94 cavalier, 3.1 rips! u put it to the floor and she goes, makes those short merging lanes easier to use haha
but ne who, back on topic, racing on the street is dumb, they'll both get charged if they live, if they didnt kill anyone, there lucky

how could you for a second think the same engine was offered? god damn it is called z24 for a reason.
