lol, where is this?
i thought you guys are talking about street racing, not underground.
i do know few people in this area who do do underground stuff, i.e corvettes, supras and so on, but like i said its not huge or common, very rare.
and what you are talking about is not street racing in the sense everyone can do it, its highly organized Rich people ish, i used to just go see these kinds of races, but its not common.
street racing to me, is roaming in your fast car, racing a car at a light, and if its fast or impressive, tell the driver to meet up at a spot, and then plan races down to another spot, thats how real street racing works.Or in my experiance thats how it was. and i don't remember the last time that happened here in the past 4 years.

2. Your a loser for saying street racing doesn't exist in canada then saying its a very few amount of people.
3. Chances are you have a very select amount of friends (which means little) that don't get the chance to venture out to such events.
I don't condone or say I go to these events but really you live a sheltered life by saying such things. I know for a fact on a good summer night there are at least 2-3 spots that are jammed with cars in industrial places.
The fact that you called it "underground" and not street racing just makes me at your comedic value & in the last four years I guess no one has asked you to venture out to such things cause obviously your not wanted.

i have to agree with these guys.. street racing is around im not gonna bait out any locations or anything but like he said during the summer nights theres a good 3-4 spots that are jam packed to the point were u cant find a parking spot and park in the rows behind cars blocking them in lol then all take off to a location and once that spot gets burned by cops within 10 minutes there is already another spot happening. as for the 20+ cars following.. street racing is all about the people who come the **** talking starts and they get involved to ive seen in on more then one occation. wut kinda street race is it when u and another person are just there? and not 30 people at the starting line watching people launch there cars and getting ready to run from cops lol.. IMO street racing is pretty big here maybe not as big at in the states but last year alone i "heard" cough cough about street races with 150+ cars u no because i would never goto them or anything because in canada the laws are basically to ruin ur life forever if u get caught in the act but honestly man.. take a drive down highway 7 look in the parkinglots even right now at this time of year there starting to get full

I liked how Forsale contradicted himself in his posts.
You need to get some real friends and a clue on just about everything. You keep telling stories and lies that I think your starting to believe them as the truth.
someone that cares Maybe this # (416) 289-2434 ?

hey guys, sorry for the delay, heres some information that I would like to get your feedback on.
1) Do you guys inform your insurance companies about modifications to the vehicle?
2) What kind of cars do you/ have witnessed street racing (more shells like CRX's, or more expensive cars that come powerful stock like WRX's etc.)
3) Is the underground street racing scene anything at all like what video games such as Need for Speed portray it .
4) What do you suggest cops could do to really combat street racing, since the new 50+ law really affects people just driving fast on a dense traffic street that is patrolled and does nothing to the actual street race scene in industrial areas?
5) Do you think street racing is a subculture/counter culture? why or why not?
6) Do you think that owners with different car brands/makes also are apart of their own subculture?

Please keep the conversation civil, regardless if you believe the other person has the wrong believing or not.
Thank you

I'll try my best to answer based on my experiences
1) Yes, because if the worst should happen I want to be covered for all the money dumped into my car. It's posible that a claim can be rejected because of the 'full disclosure clause'
2) Someone's () jetta normally went against car's in a similar power class, so I've seen civics dump on jetta's and vice versa. This jetta once got dumped on by a sprint. That was odd. In a summary, seen, civics, vw's go at it. Seen mustangs and camaro's go at it. I've seen mustangs rape civics and vw's. This ofcourse was 4 years ago.
3) No. Just like anything with a media influence. More like random people meeting up, looking at each other cars, saying 'hey, want to have a go?'
Go to a safe location (was normally out of the city, wih very few cars) have fun, go to a tim horton's. discuss....
4) I believe Bill 203 is going to be huge this summer. It's probably going to target the wrong people, but it will deter street racing. Also, perhaps setting up a sactioned event (like at Buttonville airport or something) might help.
5) subculture.. i don't know, sure.
6) Yes. There are 100's of clubs for everything, from Vespa's, to Triumphs, to 240z's to John Deer's(http://groups.yahoo.com/group/johnde...entractorclub/)

no you just realise everyday how sad you are.
please don't make me laugh and **** my self, by you saying Canada has a STREET RACING scene.lol
my point is there is no REAL street racing in Canada, and i have been to these spots in vancouver, hamilton, london, and woodbridge, maybe i have seen better elsewhere thats why.

1) Do you guys inform your insurance companies about modifications to the vehicle?
no never
2) What kind of cars do you/ have witnessed street racing (more shells like CRX's, or more expensive cars that come powerful stock like WRX's etc.)
When i usto go you can watch civics with swaps, 12 sec cars. best race ive seen is probably a turbo corvette that was easily a 9 second car vs a bike.
3) Is the underground street racing scene anything at all like what video games such as Need for Speed portray it .
Nay, leave that to forsale to dream about. no blocking roads and that silly stuff
4) What do you suggest cops could do to really combat street racing, since the new 50+ law really affects people just driving fast on a dense traffic street that is patrolled and does nothing to the actual street race scene in industrial areas?
keep doing what they do i.e. trap cars that follow ppl from timmies to the runs.
5) Do you think street racing is a subculture/counter culture? why or why not?
6) Do you think that owners with different car brands/makes also are apart of their own subculture?
idk but i have seen a chevy nova vs a civic so i guess not.
these experiences were from earlier times and do not effect my current belief in sr
