OK, so my buddy let me borrow this thing so I can check out my new video card. I guess it runs OK, but I spent about 3 hours late last night playing the thing. I'm stuck in I think it is the 3rd mission.

I'm supposed to find some dude and listen in on his conversation with some other dude in a glass elevator. Its some sort of palace.
So I pretty much cleared out the part of the building where you start the mission, and I ended up on a balcony of some room, where I saw some guy come out for a smoke and heard a radio in of some soldiers talking about needing a colonel to open a door.

I tried jumping on the gutter beside the balcony and moving into the room in the souh building which has the window open, but whenever I move past a certain spot on the gutter, an alarm goes off.

WTF? I can't seem to find any other way out of this thing. I also tried the uppermost floor of this particular building, and there are steel beams leading up to an opening in the ceiiling, but the guy doesn't want to climb up there for some reason.

If you fail to hide the bodies of people you have killed or knocked out the alarm will go off.........go back and make sure no one is lying out in the open

Makes sense! I remember hearing on the intercom when the alarm goes off "Weve found a body" or something like that.

You mean the training, or the actual level?

The only thing i don't like about this game is the limited ammo.
I mean, I had to start running up to guys and smashing them in the head b/c I had no more bullets.
Now I take more time to shoot them, line up the shot nicely..

O man splinter cell rules, that mission your on right now is pretty difficult, once you get into the window you gotta kill like 6 guys and take one guy hostage w/o a save point, took me 4 hours to do the first time. Now I'm playing Hard and I did it in one try. Here's a tip for you broken bottles make for good distractions in that room, throw one into the meat freezer then knock the guys out. With your ammo dealie, yea your supposed to just knock out people with your gun, the later stages are even harder, theres one you can't use a gun for a whole mission.

I can't figure out how to throw bottles, the only thing I do iis pick them up, and then press fire, and all he does is drop them.

Ummm I believe you press X to aim it first then you press Fire, I'll try it out later and confirm that, but I'm pretty its X. Once you grab a bottle just try pressin each button individually one of them will make these little circles appear that show the flight path of the bottle, aim them, then fire.
