stupid ford dealership
so for the last few days we have been knowticing oil spots on our driveway (repaved 1 or 2 years ago), I went out and checked my car today (figuring its the oldest so it was a good place to start, its 15 years old), nothing, everything is clean.
Go look under my parents ford windstar (01) and the whole passenger side of the underbody is wet looking with oil, coming from the oil filter, which was covered in oil, after checking it the filter I found it wasn't even on hand tight
, lucky it didn't come off when the car was being driven, or could have toasted the engine, I don't think any damage was done tho, because the oil level wasn't low..
the car had its oil changed at Frasier Ford in oshawa a few weeks ago, going to go talk to them tomorrow....:

thats nothing man, walmart is the worst for that kinda stuff. We've had finger tightened lugnuts.....cars leaving with double gasket on the filter, finger tight drain plugs, oil caps off....theres much more but thats all i can think of now

is it under warrenty still.. it wont be void if you do it yourself.. thats why my dad brings his impreza to subaru.. but everytime he watches and checks it before they lower it cuz they ****ed up the first time and didn't put enough oil.. idiots

That's nothing. The Ford dealer down the street from me just closed its doors with no notice. People's cars were still in the shop, and people who already bought cars and were waiting got screwed. They only get up to 15 grand from insurance from them.

anyways, my dad went and talked to ford this morning, they say they are going to refund the oil change, do a new oil change, shampoo the engine compartment, and have offered to pay for the material to re-seal the driveway.....pretty good of them, but still should have never hapenned in the first place...
