Yo at 14 you should do some landscaping, like mowing lawns and pool maintenance...

14 might be a little too young for heavy works.

You got S.I.N.? And you live in Markham area? If you do, I might be able to hook you up with something.

You 14 yrs are all the same, you think money is easy to make and can be found on every corner. Working at Business depot, Mac., etc... those chain stores will only earn you $7/hr, if you were older, it would be taxed, so you make less. Not to mention, customers steping all over you all day long and not a damn thing you can do or you'll get fire and you'll be back to where you started - jobless.

Do what bbarbulo tells you, cut grass, wash cars, pool maintaince etc... around your area, that's your own business, tax free... and you can charge $20 for lawn (mid) depending on size, don't be greedy, you'll loss customers; $6-10 for car wash, $20 for wax; pool maintaince is up to you. These are quite and easy, most importantly, they earn you lots more money. You don't have to take crap from anyone, you are your own boss - do what ever and when ever you want.

Think about it...

geezz, i don't know why all these young kids want to work so bad, enjoy being a kid and having fun you'll have lots of time for work when you're older
when i was 14 i mostly did odd jobs and baby sat to have a bit of extra cash....i don't know if you'll have much luck finding a 'real' job at 14, most places won't hire you till your 16

SCG,

kids don't know how to have fun like back in the day when my whole street (every kid living on it) would get together and play tag or hide and seek from dawen till dusk everyday of the summer...

to have fun now they have to go shopping or buy the latest computer game or see a movie .... all which cost way too much money ...

well for the record when I was 14 I did the grass cutting job I made 100 dollars a week and worked on saturday and sunday only ... and that was good money for spending the rest of the time playing tag...

my 11 year old brother now cuts the grass .. has been doing so since he was 8 ...(I stopped and handed the contacts over to him) and he's loving it ... makes a nice buck and saves it like mad that kid is going to be rich, or at least own a car before he can drive it

I agree with Jay, kids nowadays are different from my times. There is a generation gap every 6 years.

Times have changed.
