I have noticed that there are alot of members NOT PAID that help out the club with info or lendin a hand to work on someone elses car. I for one am not paying membership because i dont live close to where i can use the membership. I feel that some of my post have good info for others and i think i even have acouple stickies (approved by mods). So in return people say iam just a member. That is true but on the other hand i have helped out this club alot more than most paid members.

I'm used to my threads being closed now...it dont bother me like it used to...Bruno banned me from posting anything alcohol related for 3 months...it worked LOL...but anyways, its all good...locked is one thing, getting a thread completely deleted is another, that sucks...u goto post in your thread and its MIA

when my threads are closed I usually know why so I dont really need a formal reason in the thread...but I must say the admin/mods have been pretty leniant with me and in some cases even PM me about why the thread was closed and whatnot

kudos to yall

that would never happen, i think lots of people choose to ignore the rules cuz they're posted all over the place and still ppl don't get it. I agree with the fact that something should be posted when a thread is closed.

As for cee_mon, as nice as it is to have your knowledge around, knowledge doesn't pay bills for webhosting etc. If spracingsports can pay a membership (who is significantly further away than anyone else here) noone else can really honestly use distance as an excuse.

well, all i have to say is i cant please everyone all the time, many times threads are locked it is because i get reports from people about the threads... so i close them... thats it, case closed...

sure you say that other people may have different opinions about the threads and why they are locked, but many have the same opinion... what there?? we cant vote on locking threads... i guess to sum it up is if you dont like it, too bad, because there are like 8000 board users on here and there is no way in hell all of them are going to feel the same way about a topic...

i am pretty leaniant on alot of things and very rarely close threads unless i have been requested to or i recieve complaints...

this may be a public forum, but that is because the paid members let it be by supporting it... i love the guests here, dont get me wrong, i have dealt with alot of them and im friends with many aswell, but the ones paying are the ones keeping this site here...

all i can say is that i have to make the judgement call by how I see fit... and it may not always please you

true, i forgot to mention that!

he's right, most threads that get closed are closed because they get reported and the people reporting them have brought up a valid point that the mod agrees with

well we cant be online all day, we have lives too... so the ones that get reported and we are not online, how can we close it... some get closed faster than others because of our availability,

This was never intended to put the blame on any one person or persons. I understand that threads need to be locked, and I understand that not everybody will be happy about the reasons behind a locking. That isn't an issue. The issue is that the reasons aren't being explained. If you just punish somebody without explaining why, it will just happen again. I am not unhappy with the mods at all. It's the policy of locking threads with no reason given.

Also, I'm a paid member. I don't see what paid/non-paid has to do with this. This has nothing to do with paid/non paid. It just about how things are precieved by people viewing. I'm not talking for other people. I'm not giving anybodies opinion but my own. This isn't a personal attack on the mods, or the job the mods are doing. I just don't understand why certain threads are being closed. No reasons are given, and I think that should change.

availability is not a problem, it just happens...

as for paid/non-paid, i brought that up because it was refrenced earlier in the thread...

any other questions you have about things, please feel free to pm me... i will continue to do what i have been doing, but if you wish for an explaination, i will be sure to make a statement each time i close a thread... after that, you can pm me to find out more details if you wish

threads get closed 99.9% of the time for pretty obvious reasons..
either it's gone for a shyt (note the post above mine , oh, was there a topic??)..
or it's a posted msn conversation between two, maybe 3 people..
or it's malicious and belittling..
it's not at all what we wish to see on this site..(like morbid shyt..you want that crap by all means spend some time on google searching for it elsewhere)
it deals with proposed incidents we wish not to be deemed agreeing to (SR, hatred of any sort (yes, that includes the men in blue), etc etc..)
it's spam or can be taken as such..
or it's just plain stoopid

btw, for future reference this should be in TCC Support, or at least TCC Discussion as it directly relates to the conduct/representation/workings of the club, it's representatives and it's forums

thanx, yer friendly neighbourhood pain in the ***
