For those of us that shave

I tried that abomination the gillette fusion, damn thing is brutal. I'm no fry cook but when it comes to the face and a razor I think smaller is better for maneuvering.

A plus is that my gf picked me up some nivea for men shaving gel. Awesome stuff.

I use the typical 3 blade razor. First shave is always sharp and therefore easier to make tiny cuts. After a couple uses, it dulls a bit and the shave is much better. I replace the blade like ever 4 or 5 months, since I shave like once every 3 days.

LOL Charles, you don't have enough facial hair to justify being in this thread kidding my friend

real talk though, I think the Fusion is the greatest thing ever! I used to use the Mach 3, but the Fusion is above and beyond the greatest. Haven't tried the powered version yet, I heard it shaves super super close.

Yes Nivea Aftershave Balm is a must also. Been using that for about 3 years now.

mach 3 is what I use....head, face and nether regions...the fusion I really liked that single blade came in handy for detail work but the mach 3 and a gillette sensor excel are sufficient for me...I have once a week...anything more is irritating to my skin

as for aftershave...I stay away from balms they make my skin to oily...so I use aquavelva cool blue or whatever...get a nice sting on from that.and then ROC facial moisturizer

charles...your blades last 4-5 months? hahahaha wow!

I think the single blade on the Fusion is useless, I tried it and I can't feel anything. It's like dragging a spoon over my face.

The single blade is useless for me, I just find the whole thing crazy hard to use. If I didn't get it for free I would have never used it. I like the sensor excel, 2 blades and lube strip. As for moisturizing, well the Viche for men with vitamin C kicks some serious ace.

I use the Gilette disposables for sensative skin and Aveeno shaving cream. For aftershave, I use a water based moisturizer from Bio-Therm. Personally, I feel that a quality shaving cream is more important then the type of blades used. The Mach3 and Fusion are way to much $$$ for what they are.

I also shave while in the shower where the steam softens the stubble.

I use the mach three and i have to change the blade every 4 shaves. I've used the fusion with the vibe crap and it does shave better then the mach three. The more blades do seem to be better as stupid as it sounds. once i finish these mach 3 blades, i'm stepping up to another razor. For the shaving medium, I use gilette gel for sensitive skin.

I soldered 2 fusions together. You're not baller if you can count the blades on one hand.

Quattro yo! 4 blades of cutting power.

my skin suffers regardless; I hate shaving. So i usually just use a trimmer and shave to a nice stubble.

but that Nivea stuff is the best lotion i've ever used. not to smelly, not too greasy.

I will tell you right now, electric sucks!

Now that I got that off my chest, I use Mach 3 turbo and Nivea shaving gel. Best shaving cream imo and I actually got that recommended from someone on this board a couple of years ago. I will have to look up the thread one day.

I shave every other day or every two days, just to give my face a break. I have gillette aftershave. Best thing to do regardless of what you use is aftershave.

I don't mind the foil electrics, they work better for me than the circular cutters. Usually use my excel and go over anything I missed with the electric. My barber is black and he was saying something about how blacks are more prone to ingrown hairs. Is that why you don't shave often Cyn?

man I can't use either type of electric, they both feel like I'm tatooing my face. not to mention I break out in crazy irritation the next day!!

as for type of shaving cream, I use Nivea sensitive skin gel. I used the Aveeno before, I prefer the Nivea.

I personally hate shaving, simply because of the irritation, but I have a pretty good routine that seems to work fine.

I first use some Neutrogena gentle face scrub. Then I apply the Edge shaving gel, and I shave using a Mach 3. After that I use the Old Spice after shave, followed with neutrogena face lotion.

Seems to keep the face pretty un-irritated, although not completely. At least there is no rash/bumpage happening.

I usually use a Gillette Mach 3 Turbo, the last time I went in the grocery store didn't have the replacement blade so I'm using Gilette disposables. As far as shaving cream, I use Nivea. Actually all my skin care products are Nivea. Stuff smells real good too.
