lol I dont know cuz I dont smoke but my father quit about 4 years ago and hasnt looked back.. he actually says after the 1st 2 weeks he stopped having cravings..
Also he said that when people smoked around him it more bothered him then gave him a craving.. and still does.
There are 2 other people at work that quit, not sure if they kept it up though lol..

When I transferred to the sauga office it helped alot because none of the guys i work with here smoke whereas half my team in waterloo did.
I've had random smokes while partying on the weekends but I haven't gone back to full blown smoking or buying packs again.
But everytime the nice weather comes its such a killer. Nothing like a sunny day blasting the tunes with a smoke in your mouth.

Well dude I don't know about you, but for me what I remember was the crazy anger spells I used to get anytime something didn't go right, (ex. someone driving too slow, etc.) not being able to run or climb a couple flights of stairs without being totally out of breath, the constant headaches, having my life being run by an addiction rather than myself. If you're not strong u won't be able to keep it up.
The thing I've noticed about quitting smoking is that you never really quit. Its just something that you have to fight off for the rest of your life. I don't have physical cravings, but like you said, the nice weather, being drunk off your a$$, you gotta fight it every now and then until you die. I'm trying my hardest to stop the smoking while drinking mentality. I don't physically crave for it, but I dunno, Its like something to do I guess, but I don't smoke when sober at all anymore, I guess thats cause when I'm not smashed I'm stronger.

^^ I've managed to get rid of cravings while im drunk as well as sober. Although it was a slow process taking a few years. Now i think smokes smell disgusting and taste disgusting. I only have one weakness for smoking now, its not something i do often or a lot and im not going to say what it is. Only that it comes in a powder form....

its been almost 3 years since i quit smoking cigarettes, i'm allergic to alcohol, so i don't drink, so the temptation to smoke when drunk just isn't there, cause i'm never drunk.
There are certain things that trigger something in my brain to remember how nice it was sometimes to light up a smoke. Usually something like seeing someone walking down the street smoking, or when the wife lights one up and i catch a wiff. But for the most part the smell of cigarette smoke isn't appealing. And those times where i remember how nice it was to smoke, only usually lasts a split second till i remember why i quit and think about how much money i've saved over the last 3 years from not smoking.
I wouldn't really call that a craving, more like a momentary fond memory. I haven't craved a cigarette in a long long long time, thank god, and i'll never smoke again. I quit b/c i was ready to quit, wanted to quit, and smoking was starting to hurt me (i smoked for like 8-9 years).
I see quitting smoking as one of my lifes major accomplishments, along with finishing post-secondary school and buying a house.
But i still burn like a ****, and thats prolly what helped me quit the cancer sticks.

you snorting snuff? some kids at a hostel we were playing dominos with were doing lines, i thought it was coke until i saw the bottle.
when i quit, i quit cold turkey, and after 3 weeks of hell, i was fine. the smell of smoke really bothered me.
i find i really want to smoke a lot sometimes.
I will be quitting soon again... if anything just for cardio purposes.. it's hard to hit a punching bag for 20 minutes when you're had a few on your way to the gym
