The people that needed to know, knew from the get go.
The sale of TI started being discussed on 09-06-2006, fast forward to now, the deal is done.

It took some time (hell of a lot), and due to politics and shitty attitudes, it went down.

So far, all is good and on course. I only had 1 order of business and it was addressed yesterday morning.

Most people don't realize that I was acting as an admin and already making changes a few weeks back.

Does this mean TCC owns TI, no. Does this mean that when the TI staff is depleted and say someone who is staff here wants to help there, then sure.

I offered to let Buff and the staff run the site as they felt fit, Buff resigned.

personally I think all this is a mess...things were not handled maturely on both sides...this just adds more to whatever initial beef was present and in turns hurts the import community as a whole...people need to step back and put the politics and bullshit aside and think of the people

Yea, there are people who are holding grudges, I will admit I am one of them.
I have offered to meet with Eric a few times to try and hash things out, even spoke to him again last night. He's being very resistant to the idea, mostly because I wont sell him TI and TCC or let him back on the sites to advertise.

The reality is, as much as he says I am all about business, so is he. The idea of him having his own forum is to support Tek because he burnt so many bridges in the past... long before I was made an admin on this site. To refresh your memory, Tek and the former owners here were playing the lawyer game.
I came in to only help clean up the mess.

TCC is by far the best site in the GTA with the nicest down to earth car enthusiasts. No one acts 'butt hurt' here.

As for TI. It was a fairly simple deal. Bob and Mark were to remain. Bob expressed from the beginning that he was tired or Eric poaching and I told him I would deal with it. Mark expressed the same issues with Tek poaching members. Mark did express he didn't want to be caught in the middle of some forum war and wanted to make a 2nd admin account where no one would know him and he could handle it. I told him by resigning both real or fake, it was not cool and I wouldn't support either. Bob vouched for him and I felt he was the spirit behind the site. He left, we move on.

Mark had all the opportunity to run TI as he felt fit, including the handling of the vendors. Lets not forget I was already admining well before yesterday. Only after pressure from Eric did Mark (buff) feel the need to quit. I am sorry, i cannot give people back bones to stand up for themselves.
Again, hes out so now we have to move on.

Moving on, no rules were put in place with the exception of no spamming. Members who are illiterate or care not to understand spammed. They got banned. People get the impression that I actually care if the person has been there 1 day or 15 years. It makes no difference to myself or the people they are dealing with over there.

I don't mind that they are bitter, I almost understand why. But they are upset for the wrong reasons. Sure, be upset the site got sold, be upset that its on a faster server, be upset you don't need to donate anymore; I suppose those could all be valid in someones mind. At the end of the day there is a way out for me with TI. I acquired a great community there for next to nothing. If it all falls apart, I close it down, move the posts to another site and be done with it. Will that happen, not likely.

Some sites respond well to change, some don't. In the end, bickering stops, people move along and the site either remains active or it becomes a ghost town. Would I want that to happen to TI, never. Can I stop that from happening...mmm.. well, no but I can try.

There are former members from here who were banned and from there, either or, they will be banned on both sites. I really see no need for people who volunteer to continually have to deal with idiots on both sites. We just can them across the 2 sites.

But seriously, its the internet.

Oh, as for you Cynikal.Mindset. It's pretty clear that you are well involved into spamming content here onto other sites to just **** disturb. I don't believe that is in the spirit of TCC (or TI) for that matter.
After your pm last night which I reviewed and replied to, and after your continued lack of tcc support is why I have removed your admin status.

I believe you will be better valued elsewhere where the attributes of a troll will be worshiped upon.

Hows that for being awesome

So much drama.

I am a member on Tek and TI, but my posts are virtually non existant. I dont actually mind Tek and some of the people on there that Ive met who are on several sites. It is just run and moderated so poorly. Threads all over the place and off topic. If some of them spent some time posting in the tech areas instead of whoring the chit-chat and discussion areas, they might have a decent site.

I might not agree with some of the decisions made by the TCC owners in the past and present and I may not support TCC as much, but I still call TCC home.

Wow! I love TCC and i hope that it doesn't change. I never expected the idea of the 'Site Donator' to work, though it seems to be doing alright. Sure there are a couple members that are whoring threads (sometimes myself), though we have good hearts and some are not quite on the same logical senseful track. This is where a postive influence comes into play.

One site that is a serious mess is the Toronto Prelude Club. Joined it, posted some threads, gave up.

TCC seems to be staying fairly clean....which goes to show that admin is doing a decent job.

People need to take change in a good way, good thing come with time, and some people just don't look at in the long run, they only look at it right now.

all i gotta say is "there is more to life than forums"

people get so caught up in little things, they fail to realise how many bigger issues there are

I gave up the whole forum thing awhile back and went on with my life. It is great, I do come back time to time to check in but the whole "family" thing just died for me.
