Put white duct tape on the numbers after the letters on your plate. They get 1/2 the plate... or mod your plate with blue duct tape to turn like an F into a P or and I into a T hahaha... cheap bastards

The 407 Corporation was a real going concern for the Conservative Government, much as the LCBO and Pearson Airport. Lotsa money coming in, to offset the traditional money losers, education, helath and public transportation. They got rid of the 407, and have tried to get rid of the LCBO and the airport (along with the Feds). Money makers should be in the hands of the private sector, right?!
The 407 was so bad in its customer service and bill collection, that a class action lawsuit was filed. And won! Now in private hands, they have sharpened up somewhat, but the cost for driving on the damn thing has grown exponentially!!!
I had to drop in the office the other day. Slick as snot. Polite, organised, even cancelled 33 dollars in charges as my transponder was out of juice...

I just got back from a week in New York City and believe me, tolls in the U.S. are much worse than here. Sure they are cheaper in the U.S., but there are alot more toll roads down there. For example, I stayed in New Jersey and commuted into NYC so I had to pay tolls for the NJ Turnpike (about $1.50) and then the Lincoln Tunnel ($6.00 ). In the tri-state NYC area there are so many toll highways, bridges, and tunnels that you pretty much can't go anywhere without paying a toll.
