I just got my tongue peirced and it didnt hurt one bit, but im just wondering does anyone know when the swelling will subside? I know how to clean it and all but the person who peirced it didnt tell me how long i'd have to live with the swelling

my lisp isnt THAT bad right now.. its getting better
but i want the swelling to go away so the lisp totally disapears, i sound like a 3 y/o who cant pronounce words properly:cry:

swelling will go down in like 3 days or so
mine only swelled for like 1 day then it was fine
take mydol, it will help the swelling go down quicker

Can you chew gun? I eat alot and love food, don't know why I am not fat thou... anyways, that is one of the thing that is stoping me from getting it pierced

they don't recommend eating any solid foods for the first couple of days, just so that you don't irritate your tongue and to help the swelling go down quicker
but after that you can eat whatever you want, i don't even notice that mine is there anymore

i was a dumb *** when i got mine done
i used Scope and i think it had Alcohal in it and i was swollen for almost 2 weeks and i never figured it out untill i looked at the bottle lol

suck on ice and you'll find that it feels lot better
just remember to rinse your mouth out after smoking, eating, drinking.... and you should be fine

i've been eating soup the past 2 days and im trying to quit smoking anyway so i guess its a plus i have it done now, cause i really dont like smoking with it in

i should go and get some midol, i had some somewhere around here but it dissaperead but yeah the ice chip thing seems to be working a bit

i did it because for some reason i just had the urge to. I found getting my nose peirced hurt a lot more than getting my tongue done

yah my nose hurt the most out of all my piercings (and it still wasn't bad at all)
the only sore part about piercing my tongue was when i was eating, i didn't wait, and started eating solid food right away

yeah i learned that too, soon as i got in the door i ate something solid, and ended up chewing on the ball of the barbell, and damn that hurt, now im just sticking to chickennoodle soup and bread until the swelling goes down a bit

Dm101081, yeah i saw the other thread, you have guts to get all that done, i would never even think of doing all that. I *might* get a tattoo later on, but for now i'll just stick with my tongue, enough excitement for me for a while
