my uncle had an 04 and he let me drive it once. that car was a blast to drive in stock form compared to my car. the 162hp/162lbs really makes things fun. the car looks so sexy too. a guy in sauga rolls around in a white ralliart with an evo front end, that is the sexiest lancer i've ever seen. i went up to some oakville dealership with my uncle 2 weeks ago and they had some kind of special event there. they were showing the 06 eclipse and all these fixed up lancers. it was nice.

Have fun getting parts for that car a few years down the road when mitsufeces bites the dust for good. Decent looking/driving car but reliability is not there and I gurantee you with in 5 years you will see rust all over the place, especially behind the bumper shells. I would never, ever trade a honda product for any inferior mitsubishi product.

Mitsubishi offers a 10 year warranty now...hmm, makes you wonder why eh???

overall the lancer is a nice looking car.

My sister jsut traded her 2001 for the Lancer.. If you ask me the 2001 Civic had so many problems, I dunno what those Aliston plant people are doing but its certainly not a good thing. My dad's 2004 SI is pretty sound so far so I think they fixed a lot of things in the newer models. Anyway the lancer is a decent car, has lots of low end power, but I find it lacks high end and isn't as fun to drive as lets say a b16 would be. As far as reliability, it can't be too bad, the warranty is good, and rust? Well If you get the rust protection package and you come in as scheduled, then they will replace anything that has rust because its guaranteed.

Is mitsubishi really going out of business or something? Maybe in Canada but in the States the Eclipses sell like civics do here.

I had a mitsu product that was a 95... and in 01 it was on original paint and didnt rust whatsoever.... I think your mistaken, civics are the rust buckets.

Lancer > Civic

I had a Mitsubishi Cordia back when I used to live in the States and I had no rust on it even though the car was 9 years old.

The engine ... well that's a different story. The exhaust was all blue whenever I was stepping on the gas and that's with only 150K miles on it. I think Hondas are definitely better when it comest to engine reliability.

Honda is the largest engine manufacturer in the world, that part, we don't need to worry about.

when i look at the ralliart, and i compare it to similar cars it stacks up quite poorly, i personally would take a sentra se-r specV, or a celica gts over it anyday, hell even a mazdaspeed protege. A friend who has driven it extensively says that it understeers like a ****

the picture from my avatar is taken infront of a hotel in LAS VEGAS on thstrip...i cant remember which hotel it was!!!!

..dont like toyota's (celica) and definately dont like mazda - they are too close to Ford!!

Mitsu's have been arounf since 1909...so they will remain..they're sales are starting to do better in canada...you have to remember that they have only been selling cars here for 2 years now

I was hearing on Detroit Motorline that Mitsubishi is in dire straights with the rest of the world. The Evo is the only thing they have going for them outside of North America.

They were literally hanging on by a thread 6 months ago.
