I used to own a civic and now own an '03 Lancer - I liked the civic WAY WAY better - the build quality on ALL civics - even the new ones is way better than what mitsu has to offer, and my '03 has more squeeks, rattles and problems than my '93 ever did. to top this off my dealership has been out of business for just over a year.

I will be purchasing another Civic coupe this summer and selling the no-upgrade-path Lancer.

you have an 03 which i believe is the older model. the newer lancers are way better than the older ones, 162hp/162ft/lbs. yes the lancer has a very poor aftermarket but there is one company that produces a lot of products for the lancer. as a dd i would drive a lancer over the civic. it's comfortable, interior is decent, and i've never heard any of the squeaks you heard of. NA they are capable of making 200+whp/200+ft/lbs.

lancers can look nice man, so many people look down on them. here's probably the nicest lancer ralliart in ontario. he's my uncles friend, he has a stage 3 turbo and a evo body kit. look at the numbers this car puts out! too bad he sold it though.

Besides the new Evo I basically rope Mitsu into the same category as the Koreans.

i like that car. the civic is a tin can folks and not even that great of a tin can. i would take that car over a done civic any day.
