If there was only one then Symantec and Mcafee would be out of Business

http://www.mcafee.com/myapps/mfs/default.asp

Not my first choice but it will work in a pinch

Do you have a current Antivirus solution on your computer??

Are the virus definitions updated?

How do you know its a virus??

Look in the logs and find the infection type...

Do you know what I am talking about??

First of all download an antivirus program and update its definition list than immediately disconnect network / Internet connections to your computer. A trojan allows someone to connect to your computer, (Oohh I love good ol Netbus).

there are tons of viruses out there and now crap loads of tojan viruses. Norton and Macaffee are good choices ...

AzimuthX your right about the tojan definition however tojan is now used to discribe viruses that ****** via email attachments...

the term tojan virus came from the term tojan horse which was used in the battle of tory the "Tojans" left the horse as a gift for the city of tory when they decided to leave that city in peace and the citizens of tory took it within their gates, at night "tojans" that were hiding inside the wooden horse came out and opened the gates for the trojan army and the town was distroyed.

virus well in this case a piece of software that contains a malicious payload used to distory data or equipment

therefore a trojan virus is an attachment in an email that contains a malicious hidden payload... Netbus is an example of one the payload being a piece of software that grants access Nimba is another one, I love you is one too, Red alert is one, etc.

Civic boy if you want I could take a look at the computer for you PM me.

Nothing like an ISO...

Nerds know what I mean...

Kazaa has spyware built in..

Just so you know..

Now I know for sure where all your pop-up ads come from...

Use this fix now..

Kazaa Lite is an option as well..

Did you pick apart the scan downloaded to see if the person you downloaded from didn't add a little something extra?

and you wonder where your "trojan" came from
