If you cut the McD's and regular pop... start eating normal food... add a routine of 3x weight workout, 2x cardio, 2 days rest spaced out.... I think in 8 months of keeping that up, you can get your weight down to 160 lbs and maintain it there. You'll tone up and look/feel far better.

Since you dont' wanna diet (that's a very good sign!!) it means you need a lifestyle change, and the main change will be preparing low carb - high protein meals. Lean meat, and veggies. No pasta or bread.

My g/f's dad is on the Atkins diet now, and he is losing lots of weight. He was 5'10" and 240lbs, after 2 weeks of the diet he has dropped to 225lbs.
It's a good diet to be on, if you don't want to starve yourself.

Try to eat less, and cut out junk food.

Of course, if you don't workout or play sports, you should start doing that.

im 5'11 and i was about 218, pretty well same situation as you, the beer gut..ect.. Well this was about a month ago, these guy gave me some good advice, i followed it, and now a month later im 198 and my upper body is starting to show shape and definition, my stomach is about 3 weeks away from being completely flat, and i feel great! I work out at least 4 times a week, and i still lost that weight, i bet if i didnt work out id be around 190...

I think im gonna give the low carb thing another month or so, then jump into a well balanced diet. So i dont die of a chlorestoral over dose lol...

But seriously, just kill the pizza and fast food, cut out the the white bread and starches, and sweet juices... It really does work, the protine helps build muscle too... Doesnt matter how much you weigh when you have a huge upper body and ripped abbs..
