Yeah your not a mature student...You have like 25 or 30 before you get that. Your a regular student in the eyes of the university.

for uni i beleive mature student is 21.
for college its 19
thats assuming you dont have enough credits.
imo i would rather get the credits from highschool if you only need like 4 in the next semester and then finish it.

mature student is for older ppl not right out of highskool and/or i believe ppl who didn't complete/graduate highskool for whatever reason and want to go to college... applying as a mature student you have to write a test proving ur knowledge and skill or somethin like.

a mature student is someone that has graduated highschool and has not been in school for 2 or more years i think
something along those lines anyways

if you're worried about grades some universities will have a supplementary application that you can fill out to help explain why your grades are lower.

if your grades were low in high school and you're applying for a tough course in university, i dont reccommend it.

I think a mature student is someonn who has been absent from formal education for at least 4 years. Even if you are considered a mature student, I believe you still need to meet the minimun requirements of the program you are applying to. Try contacting OCAS and asking them.

He wouldn't be talking to ocas because thats for college's. To be a mature student you have to be absent from high school for four years then you can apply. (friend dropped out in grade 10) and now he's at york lol

Mature student I believe is 4 yrs.

If you stayed back a year, why wouldn't you upgrade your marks?

If you want university check out www.ouac.on.ca

and you can get in with a 78, but be prepared to work your *** off at ryerson for business, i'm in my 4th year and i know TONS of ppl that dropped out or got kicked out....

and also keep in mind that the avg is ever so slowly increasing, so if you want get in now but be prepared to work... 6 courses each semester for the first year... other schools have 5, just to make sure you can cut it... entrance avg might be lower but you have to prove yourself once ur in, otherwise your spot will be another spot taken by a college transfer in 2nd or 3rd yr...

i think you only need to have been away for a full year to apply as a mature student.

university is a joke as well. have fun, get drunk, take care of your business.

people laughed at me.. said i was a fool in university cause i skipped so much.. and just went to school and drank or whatever.. i'm the one who had a job right out of school.

while so many business students i know looked for so long and got jobs with crap pay cause they had no experience and focused on school so much.

experience and education is key.

Getting into Ryerson business shouldn't be that hard. You'll also be competing with the engineering drop outs. Majority of them go into business.
