the unofficial NBA thread

I've never had any interest in watching sports like hockey, basketball, baseball, etc, and I fail to see how someone can be interested.

Say you like watching the Raptors and you are always cheering for them.

Why? You don't know any of the people involved, they're not even from Toronto, they're only on your a payroll within the city you live in.

They don't represent anything that you can identify with.

Boxing or UFC, I understand. Two guys, competing with eachother, fighting for themselves and not for a city, and you can be a fan of a person.

Most people like the team which is housed in the city they live in, but why?!?!

wouldn't you prefer to go out and play basketball instead of watch it?

i hate basketball, hockey, etc, because it interrupts with the usual domino evenings where some people want to do both at the same time..

So what sports DO you like?
