yeah the w600, the upgrade would be cheaper than getting the w600i off ebay, and even if it was a little chaper on ebay the shpping would make up for the cost difference.
i almost bought one for 500, but then saw a rogers flyer and decided i might as well get it form them, i dont really need an unlocked phone cause i'm not leaving rogers soon

You should be able to get a better price and a better plan if you go through customer retentions.
Call up CS, *611, then tell them your interested in upgrading your phone, and you wanted to speak with customer retentions. You man end up renewing your contract, but if you have in the past 2 years, it wont work. Also they take into consideration how much you spend with them each month.
When I did mine, I ended up getting a free phone, no activation fee, free caller ID, 100 extra minutes each month, and 1 year of unlimited calling. Called them twice, the second time I got something similar to what I wanted. Rententions have alot of leverage room, just be extremely professional about it, and explain how bell/telus/fido was offering you a better price plan. The minute you start bitching or getting angry with them, they wont offer you anything out of the ordinary.

they are trying to rip you off. Basically they are gonna charge you to switch the phone tag attached to your account. All it takes is for you to swap the SIM card into the new phone and you're set to go. Don't listen to their bs reasons about admin fee. There is nothing that they need to do on their end for you to get the phone operational.
Cheers.

I recently got a hardware upgrade with Rogers and I asked the guy if he could remove the admin fee of $35. He said when I get the bill to call Rogers and say that I have been a good customer, payed on time, for 2 years (the initial plan) and ask if they could remove the admin fee. I called and was on the phone for like 5min and she said ok, no more $35 admin fee. Always good to ask!
