US currency exchange

I came across some US currency in my room a while back (no, I'm not talking about gangster type piles of money so don't think about robbing me or anything ) and want to exchange it for some Canadian money.

Where can I get the best exchange rate? Do banks give better exchange rates than those kiosks in some malls that deal specifically in exchanging currency??

I think banks do give a better rate .. but might charge a service fee which would create a worse rate find out about service fees at the bank

Ohhh, I just found out that some banks give a special employee rate for this!! I might call up one of my friends to see if they'll do the exchange for me.

But hey, crazyimport, you've got a good point! I might keep it a while to see what happens with the CDN dollar.

I can do you a favor. I might be interested in buying it from you.

Depending on how much you have.

I'll give you a better price than the bank.

It isn't much at all, so I don't think that you'd very interested; it's like $56.

I gave it to my mom to put in her US currency account coz I've decided to hold onto to it so that I can exchange later or just keep it for the next time I go down to the States. But thanks for all the help guys!
