The stock heatsink/fan for the 9800 suck. Look into an ATi silencer/VGA cooler by Artic Cooling rev.3 and some artic silver. There are multiple revisions for the ATi Silencer depending on what you have ie. 9800 AIW,SE, PRO, XT.....sometimes those capacitors are in the way and not knowing you can take one out or it just doesn't sit well.

Why? The 9800pro is a great card, it can easily handle todays games, I have a 9800AIW, the fan is loud and crappy, I've been meaning to replace it, but I have no cash to do it. It's funny cause that fan is the loudest in my case, 1 intake, 1 exhaust, 1 on the power supply, a Zalman Pure copper 92mm heatsinkfan, and the GPU fan is loudest.

I'm happy with my 9800pro. Greg should know my specs since he helped me put this thing together.

I'll update it when I need too. I really don't play many pc games these days.

Actually I think it is a lot.. And no matter how silent your fan is, at full rpm, 6 fans will be a lot louder than stock.

Just get liquid cooling and it'll run so quiet and cool.

I mean, considering people invest so much in "SILENT" fans, I'm sure after 6 fans you can easily afford a liquid cooling system.

Anyways, what the hell do I know...
