The Village - Im confused about the plot....
*movie spoilers ahead, dont read if you have not seen the film *
hey guys I remember a topic about everyone hating the movie the village...well I rented it off a friend and watched it....and yes I geuss its MUCH different then I expected....but it was interesting none the less....it was not THAT bad. But im confused about the plot
ok so the whole town was a fake, it did not take place in the past...it was a group of people that excluded themselves from the real world because of how crazy it is.....but why?
they made up the story about the "unspoken ones" so people in the town would not venture outside the village and descover they are closed in and its a sham.
so what was the deal with the guy that was slow...he stabbed the other guy because the girl loved him? or he loved theg girl?
and when he was locked up...what did he do...I didnt get what he found...and how he got out and why he tried to kill the girl?
and another thing, I geuss they sent the blind one and told her about it becasue they felt the secreat of the village was as important as letting someone die over it right? ( the stabbing victim? )

the girl was the only one who really understood him, he was jealous and wanted to kill the new object of her interest, care and affection.
he found a costume of an "unspoken one" in the floor boards. the adults who decided to exclude themselves from society dressed up as the unspoken ones to instill fear int he population. he found the costume, got dressed, and wanted to scare the girl into coming back without getting medication, she killed him. he didnt try to kill her, he knocked her over, he wanted her to fear him.
they sent the blind one because the blind will find the way as far as faith goes, and they knew she would understand their secret and want to protect it.

Chea movie, pretty much hated it. But yeah the purpose of sending the girl was so that she wouldnt know wtf was going on because she couldnt see..
They were just a bunch of freak elders wanting to live in old *** times so that no crime would occur and they would be virgin minded.
Now just to spin it off for the movie, wouldnt the police or construction workers know they were there?. Deep in those forests, they would have been cut down those trees, or kids building forts lol.

^ The "company" had paid a lot of money for security, so people couldn't enter into their town. Also, they had paid for it to be a no fly zone so that planes could not fly above them to see wtf is going on. I'm guessing the general employess thought it was just a wildlife retreat, and only a few of the upper management actually knew about it.

It was the adults of decided to move out into the forest. They created the illusion of the monsters so that people would never try to leave the town for fear of being killed.
