Virtual Turntables/Mixing Programs

Does anyone know what a good program or programs are to get for PC that have the features as real turnrables and the ability to mix music? I know about fruity loops and acid, but they're just annoying so anything else that's good out there?

thanks

I use a program by Atomix, called Virtual DJ (but I'd rather use a set of 12's, or the Denon 5000...........right Cynical?)

The interface is rather simple and effective. Yes, if you put your mouse on the record and hold the mouse button down, you can scratch the song playing. You can also perform rubs too. The loop feature doesn't always work corectly, but when it does, you get a great sample.

The program is free for 20 days, then you have to buy it for $114............ or find a key for it.

Here's the link.

And no, I don't have the key.

Sorry (spelled you name wrong). My bad.

BTW, all you have to do, is import all the music you want to mix, and either double click to load it to one of the virtual turntables, or just drag and drop it on the platter.

the catch with virtual progz are that u usually need 2 soundcards to use it properly...1 for output and another for cueing and recording...which is why most non turntable djs use cd players (not denons or pioneer) but the all in one 2cd players and mixer...that way u can record out to computer, hook up to amp and play it out live etc.

pcdj and traktor are cool especially if you just wanna play around...I believe traktor is more computer hardware friendly as u can get away without needing to soundcards

to be honest I hate using any computer based dj/production prog, I need to be able to feel and touch ***** and switches with my hands...clickin the mouse just dont cut it for me

people, grab the progz and play around with em, I'll keep em up until monday afternoon for anybody that wants to try em out

That's the same way I feel.

(but I'd rather use a set of 12's, or the Denon 5000...........right Cynical?)

You can still use Virtual DJ with one sound card though.

I fool around with it mostly to set up loops, and then I record them, so I can later burn them to a disc to use in the Denon's. Other than that, I wouldn't want to use it all the time. I like the "drag" feeling under my finger tips when I'm scratching and mixing. That's also why I think the Pioneer CD decks suck. (dead non-moving platter)
