VW Golf, whacha think?

hey peepz,

jus had a quick question i guess sort to say...

what you guys think about the 1998 VW Golf k2 4 door, 5 spd?

any problems or concerns i should know about these cars?
if any please let me know...

no so poorly built but all the electrical gremlins that they have are horendous, cost of repairs is stupid expensive and if you own one you will know how stupid they are...VW has been voted one the most unreliable cars by consumer reports numerous times

but hey, if u like it and u hopefully get one thats not a driving repair bill you should be happy...atleast they dont rust like hondas do

^^ haha some of them do.... I looked at one in the summer.. 95 gti vr6 golf...
under the hatch rust..
rust on the bottom...eww. lol its all about how to take care of your car aswell...
and plus if you compare a 1990 Civic to a 1990 Golf/Jetta..
I think the vw will have more rust.. and the floor falling out..depending on the owner.. haha
When I look at post.. vw owners make a point of saying the floor is still in tact on the older vws.. haha

check out the fourm there thats the fourm you should be at! thats if your a vw guy... but i suggest no vw is any good i used to work for a dealer so ive seen many issue's

u wanna kno bad flooring. u should check out some 2nd gen ludes ahaha those r baddd if they are not looked after. but those vw's i dont trust them to much. my teacher had alot of them wit electrical problems, also the flooring.

Oh, I know, all right. I used to own a '98... let me tell you... I had the ignition coils die, the dreaded power windor electric motor failure, harness problems... etc etc.

yea they starte making them in mexiko they suck sooo bad now the wireing is absilute garbage the windows have gone down automatikly and the engin just stops for no reason u wil be at the shop all the time u may aswell buy your own diagnosticks comp

i worked with all these honda hater's at vw i was just like yeah there fast but how reliable are they not to well ive heard some nasty ****

vr6 are junk its all about the 1.8T
