Wal-Mart Evil? NEVER!!!

http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/03/25/wal...tle/index.html

what I get from this is that wal-mart paid out on the insurance...they won 1 Million dollars...wal-mart initially paid out $470,000 for her medical cost and want that back from the 1 Million she was awarded...so she was better off not to sue and just collect from wal-mart insurance...gotta read the fine print

as much hate as there is for wal-mart, i'd bet the farm that wal-mart only resells the insurance which is underwritten by a bigger company of some sort...

all insurance companies pull scams like this... OHIP and the case of the woman who had to go get surgery to save her from cancer in detroit and OHIP refuses to cover the costs now because the paperwork was filled out in the wrong order or something... it's all scams but the letter of the rules/law is what they follow...

she'd get screwed either way because OHIP only covers for what it would cost to have the surgery done inside ontario anyway.

jim shanks shoulda done a lot of reading before filing a lawsuit. it really doesn't help to tell the media "they [walmart] are quite within their rights," a statement that's true, and then apply to the supreme court with the case...

no not true... it just has to get approved and has to be unavailable in ontario at the time, but similar to what is provided in the province...

walmart isn't about helping people, nor is it evil.

it's about making money and not wasting it.

assuming or expecting anything else is ridiculously stupid.

I would think that Dictatorship is the BEST, when the Dictator is like jfk or anyone who has worked so hard to get there just so he could make earth a better place for everyone, and not just his pockets.

Capitalism and Dictatorship are the same people with different colour suits.

people emphasise on the exterior ALWAYS, never realising the power, the motive, that churns that exterior image.

.................................................. .................................................. .............................

from my experiance Wal-mart is very well coordinated with customer service, products and ethics.

it also has the most expensive and advanced operations management system in the world, just because a man sells lemons dosen't mean he dosen't have a phd.lol

Walmart is a very smart business entity, they could have done much worse compared to competition.

haha oh man are you ever wrong with this post...

dictatorship isn't the best... i mean if you like being told waht you can/can't do and have no say in it... go live in cuba then. See how much news you get from the rest of the world, and see how much you make if you're a hard working doctor vs a janitor... not that much difference... sure everyone has food, and everyone has a roof over their heads. but they have no choice/say in anything else...

if that's what you want go ahead man, but i'd never EVER want to live in a dictatorship... if we don't like the policies of one gov't we can vote for the other liberal/conservative and sway things the other way....

dictatorships will always be about money, you think castro has none? pfft

Lol you didn't get my point, I was saying what’s the difference between dictatorship and Capitalism today, they both are the same one's not better then the other. Capitalism is Dictatorship behind closed doors.

Therefore, I was saying, if there was a dictator who WAS actually nice and liked by the people it wouldn't matter what type of government control it was.

You can be patriotic about Capitalism as much as you want, Dictatorship is still there if you like to admit or not, plus I could care less about capitalism or dictatorship, it doesn’t matter a rats *** unless you have authority and power in this world.

Btw when the one world government is complete, that will be Dictatorship.

i guess we have a different way of thinking, id build an army and overthrow the current government if i was dissatisfied with dictatorship.lol

anywas i get your point, but im just saying even the good guys today are currupt.

Sounds lovely, but your forgetting that some of us have experience with this, or similar forms of government, and it doesn't quite work out that well. Dont take this personally, I just wanted to point out a blatantly ignorant statement.
