was looking to do the same awhile back.. Most people told me that the "hookups" on Satellite are pretty scarce and most of them are down and they haven't been able to find a way to get them free again. Only thing I could find was "Free to Air" Satellite but it doesn't offer a lot of the local channels that I required. But hey I don't follow this satellite stuff, so if anyone knows I'll gladly take the same package as you Green_Goblin

if they want people to stop using satelitte singals without paying for them, they should stop sending a signal to other people's houses.

can't be that hard to find a satelitte person... there is still the shop open at kennedy and huntingwood by the patti place..

IMO, satelite is dying....Digital cable is what you should get, I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years you see Bell drop thier satelite service and switch to something similiar to Rogers.....Digital cable doesn't cost more, has On Demand, and the same channels for the most part...and you don't have to put a satelite on the side of your place

The silverbullets do not have programming they are useless right now. I have the dreambox and they are legal with the software that comes on them. When you recieve the software from the forums page on sb4u it makes them illegal with programming once again a grey dish. I have been up and running on dishnet and bell for about 4 years now had a one month interuption when Nagra2 came in but that's it now have the new program. Basic computer skills are required for programming the reciever once a month but they have step by step pics and instructions that makes it really easy to do. The updates are free and always work garanteed.

wrong..bell express view has just been cracked, u need a good ($$$) receiver to run it however

dish network is up and running for now, but will be switching to the sam eencryption as belle express view, so when dish netwrok goes down i will be switchin to bell express veiw

i'm really into the whole free to air thing, it only took me about an hour to learn, and i've bin suffciently entertained since.

thas what I thought, a friend of mine is still doing it, and he pointed me towards the super dish or whatever. Digital cable is good but honestly, I dont have the money, plus my parents want the international channels but at the same time I want the educational stuff for my lil bro.

But thanks for the links, keep em comming. I hope I find someone who has these units on the forum so I can grab one off. Im sick of running on 20 channels. Even tho Im not much of a tv person but thats prob cuz theres never anything good on!

Why don't you just ask your friend to hook you up?

Hey Mischev so basically are you saying there is a way to get Expressview but the recievers are pricey? All I have seen is stuff for Dishnet, but from the channels I have seen its still not that good.

I have a coolsat 4000 satellite system that I program myself, what it does is rotates my dish occasionally and steals the signal from every other legal service in my area....lol...it doesn't use cards either but maybe every 2 weeks I have to reprogram it since new stuff comes out on other people systems and it has to get newer software to get everything updated..

yeah bell is available, but fw know about it, because they are still using it to test for bugs, but from what i see its working great for my buddies, the recievers are pricey, but are worth it, cause they are powerful enough to handle the new encrypiption (nagra2)

You all realize you are making admissions about telecommunications theft on a public forum.

Brilliant..
