ok, I'm going to give you the best, and most valuable advice so far.

Before you even consider getting a DSM, read everything on this website, and more.

www.dsm.org
www.vfaq.com
www.ca.dsm.org

oh dont bother with www.dsmtalk.com,,, they're a bunch of 15 yr old ricers...

Read EVERYTHING. Know 100% about what you might get yourself into.

After owning a 13sec AWD DSM, its time consuming, and costly.
If you have a decent full time job, then you have nothing to worry about. But, if you're in university/college, then don't even think about it.

If you need hookups for parts, I know someone thats a parts manager at a dealership t hat can get 15%-30% off DSM parts.

Remember, you're looking at a 95+ DSM, so get familiar with CRANKWALK. Even though statistically it has only affected 10% of all Turbo 2nd Gens, don't rule it out.

These cars are stupidly fast when modded, and awd's launch like mad. Just remember if you get an AWD, a FWD turbo would roast you on the hwy. Oh, lastly, the gas mileage SUCKS!

my best was 350kms a tank. To fillup I think it was 40 or so bucks with 94. And for me, I do 350km's every 2 days... so gas was expensive.

When I'm done school, my choices are
97-99 eclipse GSX
97-98 240SX with a SR turbo swap
and If I can find a nice american RX-7, I'll do that.

If I was you, I'd grab an american Eclipse,,, the body wouldn't show any signs of rust or salt damage.

Remember, the prelude will never be as fast as the DSM can be.

Email me anytime if you have any questions.

torrey_cipriani@hotmail.com

Good Luck.

(Also, I had my car for 3 years,,, no tranny problems,,, never "broke down". )

Prelude for sure!!

Besides the reliability factor, the build quality, the styling, etc. it's a Honda and it's a newer car!

who cares if the eclipse has turbo, it's no good if it's in the shop half the time

Personally I'd take the eclipse just to be a little different, plus if you have the money to tune it (+ replace trannies), I'd think you'd have more fun, AWD is awesome.

I hope your decision won't be based on the vote results.

Choose wisely.
