the warped tour

i just got home.... it was a rather good show.... got to see a lot of good bands.. i was one of hte first 100 people in so that was cool seeing the whole area empty but it filled very quickly....

first i saw the suicide machines... which really got the crowd going for one the of first bands, then we saw a lesser known band that is amazing with the full band... but they only had the singer and guitarist doing an acoustic set... it was mediocore... then we saw a few bands whom i dont know... then nothing exciting till like 4... when bowling for soup went on one of the smaller stages... and i must say they did amazingly well... probably the second best set i saw... then we saw tsunami bomb... who has a fairly attractive singer (female) then we caught half of pennywise... it was ok... then less then jake came on... and it was the best set all day in my opinion.... then rancid which was ok.... then mest was supposed to go on... but someone in the band got hurt today so they couldn't play.... so simple plan went on and got boo'd and lots of debris thrown at them.... but simple plan was supposed to be last on... so that made me first and the gimme gimmes the last band... which means if i was to stay and watch that i get raped in traffic leaving.... so i didn't see them.... they would've been amazing though....

anyways all in all it was a good day... well worth $44.50 regular price for tickets... thanks to gatherer i got a nifty discount but as ryanhook's reason for not going there was for sure a lot of little kids who didn't know punk rock from pop.... that put a damper on the situation.... i was suprized how many parents let there 12 year old daughters come though...

anyways thats my story for my day today... if anyone else went... i think denteddx was the only other one, post how you day was? anyone get smoked by a water bottle?? LOL

I was there too. I felt kinda out of place considering I am black but, everyone there made me feel like I fit in so I give the Warped Tour a. I have never seen so much illegal substances in a controlled event and the cops did nothing I know they could smell da' herb.

I think my favourite was Rise Against, they played a awsome set, and the there was a fairly big crowd who followed them!! Then i would say Less Than Jake, (which i was at the front for of course!..lol..) Damn Crowd Surfers!!....i hate being tall!..lol..Anyways we ran over and caught the last like 4 songs of Bigwig they where awsome but soo soo loud!! Damn, my ears are still ringing this morning!..lol..We left after Bigwig though, didn't want to see Me first or Mest or Simple, so ya, it was a good day a little wet but kewl!!
