what i mean is I'd rather have someone who does it as a profession rather than a hobby

Shop around dude and make sure you get the final pricing. From my experience they try and hit you up with these hidden costs after the fact. Get the final number in writing.

I wouldn't go with the cheapest guy either. You never know if the photographer turns out to be an *** and/or decides to print the pictures out at Walmart. My father in law had connections with a photographer for my wedding, fawk... what an ***. If I had the option I would've fired him.
