what defines class
so i was in cuba last week.. one of my friends and i both grew our hair and kept mohawks. i also had a 6" braided goatee.
we talked to a few people who were all suprised at our careers (when we weren't joking about being in a band). but whatever we all make judgements. they did sit down and talk to us, have a few drinks, etc
a lot of people however gave us dirty looks and looked down upon us cause of our hair styles. they wanted nothign to do with us.
It's good to know that I can go home and get a 'better' haircut and a lot of people can't go home and become a better person.
i'm just glad i'm a white guy and don't have to deal with any other negative stereoypes! ha ha
people = ****.

Deal with it Fee... fact of the matter is, we're always judged on looks...
I've got spiky hair, and I've been wearing it down (not spiked, no gel)... because everytime I see a client of mine, they all think I'm some high school punk a$$ kid... whose got no business in their business...
as much as I hate it, reality bites... strange how just hair can makes such a difference...
personally, had I run into you in cuba... you would have been the first ones I'd talk to...

i know it's a fact. i've looked like a squeege kid for a good part of my life (not that hardcore though).. but wow... i've never got the looks i was getting from the other tourists.. lots of people from france.. i guess they're more comfortable around women with hairy armpits than guys with mohawks.

In this day and age (as sad as it sounds) physical appearence opens doors for you. Especially if you are pleasing to the eye to look at. The more attractive people find you the better success you have in the business world. As little makeup I wear to work most days, and as causal as I dress to go (jeans everyday)...when I have a client meeting (or conference), I am dressed to the nines with a big power suit and full makeup.
