My girfriend realizes & respects what I do with my car & TCC. She understands that I consider members of this club friends, and that attending the meets gives me a chance to 'get away' from work or usual daily problems for an evening. She also enjoys attending meets and other events once in a while, except she doesn't know much about cars and therefore doesn't have the same passion for the hobby as me.

My gf last year though I was stupid for spending money on my Civic, she hated the club too and thought we were losers.
We aren't together anymore either.

I tell all girls I meet now that I'm into cars and spend some of my money work on it (whatever that may be). If they have a problem, too bad. Lots of fish in the sea.
I also haven't had a serious girl friend for a year as I can't find one who understand me and what I'm like. However I haven't really looked all that hard either.

My Fiancee loves my everything about my hobby. She loves my car. Loves it when we go out for drives and everyone looks at the car. Loves it when I spend lots of money on it, and NEVER argues about that. She's very helpful when it comes to helping me work on the car, and is always the first to ask if she can pay for a part when I need it. She pays for car washhes too. She doesn't mind when I put her second to the car. And she loves the wednesday night meets and car shows I go to.

lies......all lies.

edit:My post had no profanity, or didn't put anyone down, so leave it alone cosmic.

Dee is ok with my car. We were consider return the car when the lease is up, then get an Accord V6 6Speed Coupe or the SIR. But then again, I will be suffering with monthly payment for another 4 years. I rather just pay off my car and leave it like that.

The car has no rust, things work well, there is no reason for me to get rid of it. My wedding fund is going well, saving hard and all. As of now, no major modding has been done and she agrees for a swap but that should happen when the priorities are done (i.e. paying off the car, get married and stuff).

But now, she is cool if I dish out 2G for a pair of EVO seats. If I really want them, she would let me since I am the one who drives long distances everyday and I need good seat.

We support each other.

my gf offers to help work on my car sometimes but im the typ eof person that I want to do it all myself.

When im with my car or anything im working on in general I tend to like to work alone and learn all myself making sure everything is put back right and done the way it says or I expected it to be.

Im sorta a freak that way.

Like my lowering for example, I torque down every bolt when Im done to specs and even my wheels. yeh im tarted i know lol

For me its all about power. So in two years when my warranty is done I'm going to have to make a decision, rebuild the motor and turbo, or just buy something with a little more of the features I want.
Haha...I haven't built the motor yet!!! Been two years better get to it.

I have done some things to it for better performance and handling.

BTW, for all of you who think your freaks...you have nothing on me Mechanics call me obsessive.

lol what about if you can't tell when the last post in a thread was... what will ur g/f think of that?

i find the best way to get around the g/f problem is to not have one at all.... it's really a win-win situation. There's no stress about your car, and you have more money to put into your car...
