I'm thinking about applying to the Honda plant in about 6 to 1yr time. Still working on trying to become a cop (white male so I'll be last on the list). I'm getting a little annoyed with the people in the Petawawa/Pembroke area.

My wife so far had at least 5 local ladies come up to her and say she should stay home with her child and collect welfare instead of working.

I'm in the job bank for the new Toyota plant in Woodstock. I did all of the interviews, test and reference, now I'm just waiting. I did the whole applying to Policing, but I too kept getting shot down.

Costco pays great if you are there for a while (>3 years). Top rate is $21.55 (more for some dept), $4400/year in bonus', matched RRSP and RPP, great health plan, paid for safety boots/equipment, vacation.....

I don't think you could ever find a better part time job.

Yeah....I forgot to mention one thing. Inside costco there are different vendors. For example all the bread and the stuff on the tables is run by VPS which is based in Montreal.

I happen to work for VPS inside costco so the pay and great benefits don't really apply.

Ah well this semester is over soon, time to start looking for fulltime work.

I feel they get preferred treatment simply because of who they are and the demographic they represent.

Actually Peel still does hire alot of white males. I know a few guys that got turned down by the OPP and Hamilton, but were hired by Peel.
