yeah, I was the labour.

1st time new construction, but I've done renovations on older homes before... where did you think my money came from? real estate

how to build a garage... hmm I guess just common sense to me, cuz I've been around enough construction to see. but you can get some great books at home depot, for framing houses, roofs, etc.

the $8K included excavation and cost of cement, their labour, truck/delivery fee, gravel (need 4 inches of gravel under the concrete pad), permit to pour concrete and two inspections.

yes it will be heated

if i had a two door garage as big as that.
i would split the garage in two.
run a glass wall splitting the garage into two and then have one side be my room and the other side my cars room LOL.
everytime i feel like looking at her i would just open my eyes when i am sleeping on my bed.

thanks guys yeah I've been wanting a place close to home to store the car and be able to work on it. it was a pain in the *** to have to haul my tools around to storage and whatnot. this way I can wake up in the middle of the night and go work on the car.

rrsp..guy, I dunno I never priced it out professionally. as a rule of thumb though, it's 50% materials and 50% labour, but I'm sure someone would have done it for $10K in labour. I mean, if someone said I'll give you $10K to build me a garage in 6 weeks, I'd prolly do it again (time permitting).
