What up with VW tail lights???

Am I the only one who notices that VW's (Gulf, Jetta) ALWAYS have a taillight out???
Stuff like that makes me wonder about the overall quality. BTW don't you think the owners would complain and have the wireing checked or something.

Opinions?? Ideas??

vw taillights are always on, off or the reverse light it on...horrid wiring in those things

vw and honda should combine as one and make a solid, rust free, well wired car

i love how everyone thinks their opinion is right... have any of you guys ever actually owned a VW newer than a 10 years old? have any of you ever worked on a newer VW? have any of you ever worked FOR VW? Get your fact straight before bashing the product... YES older VWs are known to have wiring problems... but what car doesnt have its one or two signature issues (id rather have to replace a bulb once in awhile or get some wiring issue fixed thru warranty than have to redo the whole body on my car 5 years down the road because its rusted to ****). Dont get me wrong, obviously im a honda enthusiast... but VW is a totally different flavour... especially new ones. Not better, just not really a fair comparison.

I would have to dissagree that ONLY the OLDER Jettas and Gulfs have taillights out.
Every day (yes every day!!) I see Newer VW's with tailights out.

I have yet to see a 2001 or newer Civic with rust on the quarter panel.

BTW: Regardless of year, I apply Por-15 to rust prone areas of my cars.

Anyway, next time you see your mom, stand behind the car and have her step on the brake.....you'll have your answer.

oil changes don't count

Everyone has their own opinion....but until you actually have real first hand knowledge about something - keep your mouth shut.

Go to VWVortex.com - and go see what they say about Honda's..........the word "Honda" seldomly appears.....there is now a universal word called RlCE (hey, don't shoot the messanger)

My point is....if the worst you can come up with is a busted tail light bulb......don't you think that VW's aren't as bad as you think?

The war will always continue......VW Honda.......but who's to say which is better? As REAL enthusiasts, people should find love in all cars....except Kia's.
