LOL, that's funny.
My Wife just recently lost our baby/pregnancy. Afterwards she still had a little bit of a tummy still and she got the same questions over and over again, are you pregnant?
Unless it's blatantly odvious that a women is pregnant, I mean huge belly ready to pop pregnant, it is a very stupid question to ask. If the answer is no, it can become very personal/awkward even if it is over gaining a few pounds.
I'd just tell them the truth, they are idiots for even asking. Also I would not change, just because of what other people are saying. Be who you are, not what other people expect of you.
On a different note, was that your pick civic at Cayuga last Sunday? Nice ride.

Well, honestly it can be taken two ways.
Firstly, if you think they are inadvertantly insulting you, then it's going to seem that way no matter how you look at it. If you feel guarded about your outwardly appearance and are self concious about your figure, comments like this will seem hurtful, inappropriate and insensitive no matter the circumstances. However, if you believe within yourself that they don't mean to be insulting then it would only play off as being an innocent form of concern and maybe happiness for you that with the slight chance that you may be pregnant. I bet if you weren't so concerned about your outwardly figure, as most women do anyways, I'm sure it wouldn't hurt as much and therefore wouldn't affect you as much. Just shrug it off - answer no, I'm not...adding a little weight. Add a little phrase chinese people like to use, translation: "eat well, live well". Throw it back in their faces.
And if need be, I'll come down there and kick their asses in. =D

Are they asking you to be rude, or are they asking out of genuine interest?
I don't think anyone would expect you to change "for them", but if they're asking because it seems as though you are, and it upsets you, then you might want to change for yourself. I'm a fat ***, and sometimes I look pregnant, but luckily, being a man, I know it's people making fun of me when they ask me when I'm due.
Either don't let it bother you, or do something about it. Gain more weight so it's obvious it's not baby weight, or lose some and strut around the school in a bikini. :P
